IMPACT
The Gina Rose Montalto Memorial Foundation began as a way to honor Gina’s memory- her love of learning, kind heart and spirit of giving- by helping others with the cost of post secondary education and making charitable donations to causes Gina supported.
Thanks to your generous support, the Foundation has been able to give the gift of higher education, leaving a meaningful impact on our recipients whose comments are shown here.
Gina’s light continues to shine in this world.
A note from Christine Yared
I was lucky to know Gina, with her bright smile and optimistic outlook. Although she was taken from this world too soon, I want to do everything I can to keep her light shining and spread her kindness around.

Losing such a bright soul and kind-hearted young individual is a tragedy that none of her loved ones should have had to endure. Being the recipient of the Class of 2021 Legacy Scholarship was one of the biggest honors awarded to me. Just knowing that Gina's parents selected me to carry on her legacy is so rewarding. By donating to Giving Tuesday, the proceeds will help give another student a scholarship in Gina's memory. Please help me raise money to keep Gina's light shining!

I’m passionate about this campaign because of the wonderful person that Gina Montalto was. She was passionate about everyone and cared more about them than herself. I was honored with this scholarship and I’m so thankful that I get to represent her and her family.

The Gina Rose Montalto Memorial Foundation, INC. The Scholarship Program is an amazing campaign that honors Gina and all she stands for. The foundation works to support students further education in what they are passionate about. After learning more about Gina’s legacy, it is clear that helping people was one of her passions. Since Gina was able to help me with my goals of being a nurse, I want to continue to help other people accomplish their goals.

Everyone who knew Gina always talks about how kind of a person she was. Her presence could simply brighten the day of all those around her. I’d like to think that through this organization we can continue to spread her kindness throughout our community.

Gina Rose Montalto was a beautiful, bubbly, and incredibly kindhearted girl that I was privileged enough to get to know during her short lifetime. Her kindness is everlasting; although she is no longer with us, her sweetness and pureness of heart will last forever. My goal through this organization is to spread goodness and love and embody the beautiful traits of Gina so that a little piece of her can live on through me. I want to be a leader for Gina. I want to be strong for Gina. Most importantly, I want to be kind for Gina, because if she was still here, the world would be a kinder place. I am eternally grateful for Mr. and Mrs. Montalto and the opportunities they have given me by virtue of their generous contribution to my future. They have allowed me to begin fulfilling my dreams. In my eyes, this cause is of the utmost importance. Remembering Gina by spreading her love and sunshine wherever I can is a task I dedicate each and every day to. Your contributions are so very appreciated. Thank you so much. <3

I know today Gina would have been celebrating her 19th birthday and realize this must be a hard day for you and I am praying for you. I wanted to give you a quick update…I move back home to Michigan when school is finished. I am going to be working 26 hours a week as a Medical Assistant. I am hoping this will give me some good experiences that I can apply next year at school and beyond. I will also be lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons at the same place I have been working at for the last few summers.
Our motto at Wittenberg University is: Having Light We Pass It On to Others. I am so thankful for the scholarship that I received from the Foundation and everything it has been and is allowing me to do.
Please know that as I have my light and pass it on to others, a part of my light is Gina’s.
Love,
Ally Miller
